Zack Doyle, a ,member of the BCGF&F award winning Sharp Shooters team was 1 of 11 high school football players to be recognized state wide, by being selected to a position on the Pennsylvania State A team. Coach Hayes praised Zack for his dedication, hard work and scholarship as a member of the Bellwood Antis Football program. These are qualities we see every week at Air Rifle practice. He is a leader! Thanks go to his Grandfather Noye for faithfully bringing him to air rifle practice.
Zack was also featured in 1/20/2010 Altoona Mirror, along with his Mother & brother in an excellent article about the family’s participation at the Farm Show baking contests. Check is out for some great recopies! “Barbara Doyles sons have been entering Farm Show baking contests for years ….showing sheep as well baking skills.

Blair County 4-H honored our Youth Sharp Shooters at a Banquet in Williamsburg. Three graduating Seniors, Sam Hilse, Ty Wilson and Lerin Fultz: now above the age for the program were inducted into the Over the Hill Gang”.
State Achievement Days Our Sharp Shooters achieved another 1st Place (16th) since competition shooting.. Your team members were, Sam Hulse, Bobby Decker, Chris Fischer, Kadee Stephens, Emily Harris, Zack Doyle and Alex Decker. The competition between 1st & 2nd places was fierce. Congratulate these team members. Thanks to the parents and Grandparents who faithfully brought these youth to practice every Monday night…..all year long!
The Sharp Shooters received a Red Merit Award for their outstanding participation in 4-H programs during 2009.
Don Blazier received a 17 year LEADER SERVICE AWARD. Other BCGF&F members involved in coaching and leadership activities of the Blair County Sharp Shooters were Bud Fultz, Dave Fischer & Art Shriver.
A major Sharp Shooter supporter, Dale Oxygen received recognition for their supply of C02 for our precision air rifles. A beautiful award trophy will be presented, shortly, to Dale Oxygen by Dave Fisher and Don Blaizer.

The first class BB Gun Class will start the 2nd Tuesday of February, starting at 5:30 PM. The class filled quickly. The waiting list is growing and youth age 8 – 15 are encouraged to enroll. The first class will run about 8 to 10 consecutive Tuesdays.
Youth completing this phase may be offered the opportunity to improve their marksmanship and represent the BLAIR COUNTY SHARP SHOOTERS , by competing against other local/regional Youth Marksmanship Clubs.
