                                      4th Annual Coyote Hunt                                         

Rules and Regulations

 

The Coyote Hunt begins at 12:01 AM Friday, March 12th, 2010 and ends at 1:00 PM Sunday, March 14th, 2010. Any and all Coyotes entered by a Hunt Participant must have been taken within the state boundaries of Pennsylvania. Size and weight does not matter.

 

Registrations are available at the Blair County Game, Fish, & Forestry Assoc. 301 Riggles Gap Sportsmen Rd, Altoona Pa 16601 or from an officer of the club. 

 

The registration fee is $10.00 ($ 5.00 for Prize fund, $5.00 to Habitat Fund).  Each participant must be registered for the Coyote Hunt. 

 

Registrations must be received and processed before 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 11th, 2010. Mailed registrations must be received by March 11th, 2010.

 

When hunting in groups, each member of the group must be registered or the entire group will be disqualified.

 

Coyotes may be bagged anywhere in Pennsylvania and they must be bagged during the hours of the hunt. 

 

No snared or penned Coyotes will be accepted.  Road kills also do not qualify.

 

Participant must willingly produce or show positive means of identification. Participants must have a valid Pennsylvania hunting license or fur taker’s license.  Any violation of the rules of the hunt or Pennsylvania Game Laws will disqualify the participant and all members of his hunting party.

 

The club reserves the right to have all Coyotes inspected by a certified professional.  An autopsy may be performed if any suspicious conditions exist.

 

Coyotes may be checked at the Sportsmen’s Club in Riggles Gap during the following hours:

 

                    Saturday, 3 PM – 5 PM, Sunday 1 PM – 3 PM

 

Each successful participant must legally dispose of his/her coyote carcass.

 

Participant must willingly permit Coyote to be marked, tattooed, tagged or the tongue sliced to eliminate fraud! The club will mark each Coyote presented.
